About lawns, planting, patios, drainage, lighting, trees, upkeep and cost.

Getting started

Is the estimate really free?

Yes. The visit and the estimate are free and come with no obligation. You approve a written scope and price before any work begins.

What areas do you serve?

Nashville and communities across Middle Tennessee, including Franklin, Brentwood, Murfreesboro, Hendersonville, Mt. Juliet and more. See the service areas page for the full list.

Do you work for homeowners, builders and businesses?

All three. We work for homeowners, builders, developers, property managers, HOAs, churches, schools, real estate agents and commercial owners.

What kinds of work do you do?

Landscape design and planting, lawn care and turf, patios and outdoor living, irrigation and drainage, lighting, tree and shrub care, mulching and seasonal maintenance.

Design and planting

When is the best time to plant?

Fall is ideal for trees, shrubs and perennials, and early spring is second best. Container plants can go in during summer with extra watering.

What plants do well in Nashville clay?

Coneflower, black-eyed Susan, switchgrass, river birch and redbud handle clay well. We also improve the soil with compost.

Can you work with my HOA?

Yes. We help prepare plant lists, sketches and samples for association reviews and build to the approved plan.

Lawns and turf

Which grass is best for my yard?

Tall fescue suits shade, and bermuda and zoysia suit full sun. Our lawn comparison tool and a site visit help you decide.

When should I overseed my lawn?

Early fall is best for fescue, with aeration first on compacted clay.

Why is my lawn brown or thin?

Drought, disease, grubs, shade and compaction are common causes. Our problem checker and a site visit identify the real one.

Patios, drainage and lighting

How long does a patio take?

Many patios take one to two weeks, depending on size, materials and weather.

How do you fix a wet yard?

We find where the water comes from and use grading, French drains, downspout lines or rain gardens to move it safely away.

Can lighting be added to an existing yard?

Yes. Low-voltage fixtures are added with little disturbance and can be expanded later.

The work and the cost

How long does a project take?

Small refreshes take a few days, and larger projects take a few weeks. We give a schedule in the written scope.

How do I compare quotes?

Compare written scopes: plant sizes, soil preparation, materials, base depth, drainage and cleanup. Our cost guide explains what drives the price.

Do you handle commercial and HOA properties?

Yes. We schedule around business hours, events and board meetings, and we keep written records of every visit.
