Regrading, swales, erosion matting and stone armoring that stop washouts and shape the land to carry water safely.
Erosion is quiet at first. A little soil washes from a slope, a gully begins and after a few storms it becomes a ditch. On hilly Nashville lots, runoff from roofs, drives and neighbors can cut channels through lawn and beds and carry soil into the street. Beyond the mess, erosion exposes roots, undermines walls and can damage the foundation of the house.
We address erosion by slowing water and keeping soil in place. We regrade slopes and create swales that carry water gently, install erosion control blankets, plant groundcovers and grasses with deep roots, build stone-lined channels where flow is strong and add check dams or terraces on steep sections. Where needed, we install drains and outlets to handle the water. We stabilize bare soil with sod or seed and straw and explain how to keep the repairs working through heavy storms. We also walk the site during or just after a rain whenever we can, because water shows the real paths it takes better than any drawing. Where a neighbor’s runoff crosses your lot, we explain the options. We aim for lasting repairs that survive heavy storms, not quick patches that wash out again. A written plan and photos document the work.
Swales, check dams and stone spread out and slow runoff.
Blankets, deep-rooted plants and sod protect bare ground.
Grading carries water to safe outlets and away from buildings.
Stone-lined channels resist the force of heavy storms.

We walk you through watering and care, leave a simple guide, clean up and set a reminder for your first-season check.
Concentrated runoff on bare or sloped soil is the main cause.
Yes. We regrade, stabilize and protect the repair.
Deep-rooted grasses and groundcovers hold soil well.
Larger projects may. We help you check.
