Pools, patios, kitchens and fire pits need landscaping that frames them. Here is how plants, stone and lighting complete the space.
Outdoor living has grown from a simple patio into full outdoor rooms with kitchens, fire pits, pools and seating areas. Landscaping is what ties these pieces into a space that feels finished: plants that soften hard edges, privacy from neighbors, shade where the sun is strong and lighting that makes the space usable after dark. Without it, even a beautiful patio can feel like a slab in a field.
We plan the space as a whole, with paths that connect the zones, plants that tolerate pool splash or heat and screens that frame the view. Around pools we choose plants that drop few leaves and do not harm the surface. Near patios we use fragrant and colorful plants, and near kitchens we plan herb beds. Structures such as pergolas, walls and fire features anchor the space, and soft lighting finishes it. We coordinate with pool builders, masons and electricians so the project runs smoothly.
